You stay in control

Access, correct, or delete your data at any time.

In short: you can browse jobs without giving us any personal data. If you sign up, ask for a referral, or contact us, we use your details only to provide that service. We never sell your data and we share your resume with an employer only with your consent.

About this policy

This privacy policy explains how Fresher Job Alerts (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use fresherjobalerts.com (the “website”). It applies to visitors, registered users, and anyone who contacts us.

We aim to handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. By using the website, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not register or submit information — you can still browse job listings without giving us any personal details.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account: name, email address, mobile number, location, experience type, and skills. Your password is stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text.
  • Resume: the file you choose to upload to your profile.
  • Referral requests: the job you are interested in and the details you share so we can refer you.
  • Contact form: your name, email, optional phone number, topic, subject, message, and any link you include.
  • Job alerts: your email address and the keywords, location, or experience level you choose.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, time spent, clicks on “apply” buttons, and the website that referred you.
  • Device data: browser type, device type, operating system, screen size, and approximate location (city or region) derived from your IP address.
  • Security data: a one-way hash of your IP address when you use the contact form, used only to prevent spam and abuse. We do not store the IP address itself for this purpose.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, as described below.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information such as financial details, passwords for other services, Aadhaar or PAN numbers, health data, or religious or political views. Please do not include such information in your resume, profile, or messages.

How we use your information

We use personal information only for these purposes:

  • to create and manage your account and keep you signed in;
  • to store your profile and resume, and to make referrals you ask for;
  • to reply to your messages and act on reports of fake listings or recruiters;
  • to send job alerts you have subscribed to;
  • to keep the website secure and to prevent spam, fraud, and misuse;
  • to understand how the website is used, using Google Analytics, so we can improve it;
  • to show advertising through Google AdSense, which keeps the website free;
  • to comply with the law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

We process your data based on your consent (for example, when you register, upload a resume, ask for a referral, or accept cookies) and for legitimate uses permitted by law (for example, security and legal compliance). You can withdraw your consent at any time — see “Your rights and choices” below.

Referrals and your resume

Referrals are free and happen only when you ask for one. When you request a referral for a published opening, we share your resume and the relevant profile details with that employer only, and only after you agree.

  • We never share your resume with any employer without your consent.
  • We never sell resumes or build resume databases for employers or agencies.
  • Once shared, the employer's own privacy policy applies to how it handles your application.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and web beacons. We use:

  • Essential storage — to keep you signed in and remember your “remember me” choice. The website's account features do not work without it.
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website.
  • Advertising cookies — set by Google and its partners to show and measure ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may affect some features (such as staying signed in), but you can always browse job listings. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the website — for example, which pages are popular and which devices people use. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, time on site, device and browser details, and approximate location. We use this information only in aggregate form to improve the website, and we do not use it to identify you personally.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements on the website. Please note:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this website and/or other websites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.
  • If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.

For more information, see Google's advertising policy and privacy policy. Advertisers never receive your account details, resume, or messages from us, and they cannot pay to publish or change a job listing.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

  • Employers, for referrals you request — only with your consent, as described above.
  • Service providers who host our servers, database, files, and email, and who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Google, for analytics and advertising, as described above.
  • Legal and safety reasons — when required by law, a court order, or a government authority, or to investigate fraud, abuse, or misuse of our name.

Employer and third-party websites

Apply buttons and other links take you to employer and third-party websites that have their own privacy policies. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for what they collect or how they use it. Please read their privacy policies before sharing your information.

Emails and job alerts

We send emails only when you ask for them — for example, replies to your messages, account emails, or job alerts you have subscribed to. We do not send marketing emails without your consent, and we never share your email address with advertisers. You can stop job alerts at any time by using the unsubscribe option or by contacting us.

Browser notifications. If you click “Enable” on job alerts and allow it in your browser, we keep only the technical address your browser gives us for delivering notifications (no name, email or location). We use it only to tell you about newly published jobs: at most three a day, never between 11 pm and 7 am IST, and never for advertising. You can turn alerts off at any time with the “Job alerts” button on a job page or in your browser’s site settings; the address is then deleted.

Where your data is stored

Your information is stored on secure servers used by us and our service providers. Some providers, such as Google, may process data on servers located outside India. Where this happens, it is done in accordance with applicable law and the provider's own data-protection commitments.

How long we keep data

  • Account and profile data: while your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it.
  • Resumes: until you delete the file from your profile or close your account.
  • Contact messages and fraud reports: as long as needed to handle the request and keep a record of fraud reports.
  • Analytics data: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics settings.
  • Server logs: for a limited period, for security and troubleshooting.

How we protect your data

We use reasonable security practices, including encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed passwords, restricted admin access, and rate limits on public forms. However, no website or online service can be completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password and never share OTPs or passwords with anyone — including people who claim to be from Fresher Job Alerts.

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • know what personal data we hold about you and get a summary of it;
  • correct, complete, or update inaccurate data;
  • ask us to delete your data or close your account;
  • withdraw consent you have given, such as for referrals or job alerts;
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to;
  • raise a complaint about how we handle your data.

You can edit your profile and delete your resume yourself from your profile page. For anything else, contact us from the email address linked to your account so we can confirm the request is from you. You can also opt out of personalised ads and analytics using the links above.

Children’s privacy

The website is intended for adults looking for work. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years of age, and people under 18 should not create an account or submit personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or complaint about this policy or how we handle your data, please write to us through the contact page or email support@fresherjobalerts.com. Messages sent through the form receive a reference number, and we will respond as soon as possible and within the time required by applicable law.

We never charge money and never ask for OTPs, UPI PINs, or bank details. If anyone asks for these in our name, it is not us — please report it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will show a notice on the website. Continuing to use the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
