Job description
Infineon Technologies is looking for a Young Graduate Trainee – Coex SVT Engineer to support the validation of Wi-Fi software for advanced IoT devices. The role focuses on ensuring that Wi-Fi products deliver strong performance, reliability, and interoperability across different environments and device configurations.
The selected candidate will work with cross-functional teams including firmware developers, product managers, and test teams. The role involves performing coexistence functionality, performance, and interoperability testing across various combo chipsets while developing a strong understanding of WLAN, Bluetooth, and IEEE 802.15.4 technologies.
Candidates will work with coexistence mechanisms, multi-radio concurrency use cases, and RF concepts such as antenna and channel interference. The role also involves hands-on usage of testing and analysis tools such as iperf, Wireshark, and Ellisys sniffers.
The engineer will collaborate with development and testing teams to investigate and debug issues related to wireless connectivity and coexistence. The position provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in wireless communication, IoT technologies, software validation, and semiconductor solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science (CS), or a related field. The position is open to candidates with 0–4 years of experience, making it suitable for fresh graduates as well as early-career professionals.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of WLAN protocols, Bluetooth BR/EDR, BLE, LE Audio, and IEEE 802.15.4 fundamentals, including technologies such as Zigbee and Thread.
Knowledge of coexistence mechanisms, multi-radio concurrency, and RF concepts is relevant to the role. Candidates with hands-on exposure to iperf, Wireshark, or Ellisys sniffers will be well aligned with the testing and debugging responsibilities.
Python or other coding knowledge is listed as a plus. The role also requires candidates to coordinate with different groups and work closely with development and test teams while investigating wireless software issues.
