Rubrik is a security and data protection company that helps organizations secure their data across cloud environments. The Cloud Native Protection team specifically focuses on enabling customers to protect, search, and analyze cloud data simply and scalably as cloud data grows and cyber threats increase. As a Software Engineer in the Cloud Native Protection team, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions that protect cloud-native environments. You will manage your own project priorities and deliverables while working on distributed systems and cloud infrastructure problems alongside a fast-growing engineering team.
Qualifications
You must hold a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in computer science or a related field to qualify for this Software Engineer role. You should have zero to two years of relevant professional work experience in software development or a similar engineering capacity. You must demonstrate proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Go, Java, C++, C, Scala, or Python. You should have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of System Development Life Cycle methodology, design patterns, and software engineering principles. Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is valuable, as is knowledge of Docker, containers, Kubernetes, and microservice architectures. You must be able to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly while managing complex, time-sensitive projects either independently or as part of a team.
