Job description
IBM is hiring a Software Developer to join its Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization and Technology Platform Transformation team. The role focuses on building AI-powered applications, intelligent automation solutions, and reliable software systems for enterprise technology.
You will work with experienced engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions involving Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, RAG, Machine Learning, backend and web development, databases, cloud-native technologies, and DevOps.
The role involves developing AI-enabled applications and services, building REST APIs and backend services, working with databases, developing web applications, integrating AI solutions, and implementing automation to improve engineering productivity.
You will also participate in unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, code reviews, CI/CD activities, version control, cloud-native development, and Agile practices while gaining hands-on experience with production-grade AI and software solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should be pursuing a B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech./MCA in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, IT, or a related field. Strong programming knowledge in Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript is required, along with knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming.
Candidates should have a basic understanding of Machine Learning and Generative AI, along with knowledge of REST APIs, backend development, web development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, and databases including SQL and NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with Git, version control, CI/CD pipelines, Agile software development, and cloud-native technologies is expected. Preferred experience includes LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, Vector Databases, and AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.
Exposure to AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, React, Node.js, Spring Boot, or FastAPI is also preferred.

Selection and interview process
